Most Daring Vehicles 2024: These E-Cars Will Stun America!
Next year promises to be a year of high-profile premieres of electric vehicles in the United States. If, of course, the manufacturers keep their promises to introduce new products. Columbus has prepared a review of some of most expected cars in America - from bold coupes to powerful pickup trucks - that we look forward to testing soon!
Honda Prelude

Surprises — real surprises — are rare in the auto industry, thanks to the fact that everyone today has a camera phone in their pocket and can contact just about anyone anywhere in the world. However, the Honda team managed to achieve the feat of keeping the basic information about the new two-door Prelude coupe secret. All we know is that this concept is more than a flight of fancy. Many elements of the car have been worked out and are ready for production.
Car experts have been speculating a lot about whether the Prelude will be electric or hybrid, but recently, thanks to the talking heads at Honda, they received confirmation that it will be a hybrid. However, the transmission in the legendary coupe will be electric. And this explains the car’s inclusion in our list.
All the details about the terms of the car going into production, the engine power and the price are covered in fog. Most likely, the Prelude will appear no later than the 2025 model year. This means that in the next twelve months we will get to know it better.
Vinfast VF6 и VF7

This young brand from Vietnam is a newcomer to the global car market. But they are learning quickly and using the naming conventions that car companies use in North America. The future VF6 and VF7 are now available to order in the US and Canada. Both are two-row all-electric crossovers with a range of 399 and 450 km, respectively.
The manufacturer is trying to break into the inexpensive car segment, so you won’t have to overpay for these vehicles.
VF7 will be produced in two versions. The car will be equipped with a 75 kWh battery and an electric motor with either 201 or 348 hp. The VF7’s range will be a little over 400 km.
The VF6 will also be released in two editions, each equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery and an electric motor producing a total of 174 or 201 hp and offering the range of 399 and 381 km, respectively.
Canoo Pickup

The Canoo is an all-electric car with a front end that looks like it came straight out of the sci-fi movie Judge Dredd. It is essentially a Light Tactical Vehicle for the US Army, making its civilian version the successor to the legendary HMMWV.
The truck is full of innovations and not just high tech ones. Rather, practical ones. For example, the upper part of the sides of the bed can be folded outward and turned into a table for work.
The truck's flat face appearance is hiding about 500 horsepower, so don't be too quick to call it just a pretty toy.
Chevrolet Silverado EV

While rivals from the Blue Oval (Ford's auto manufacturing ecosystem in Tennessee is called) are scaling back plans for electric pickup trucks, rumors are swirling that GM is looking to bring its Silverado EV and Sierra EV to market quickly and in bulk.
With the F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T are always in the media spotlight, not to mention the efforts of the Ram's PR team, GM was forced to respond. The appearance of a newcomer to the Chevy model line is simply a must to outshine its competitors.
Apparently, the Silverado/Sierra EV will be available to reviewers in the coming calendar year - at least within the GM Design Lab.
Tesla Cybertruck

The Cybertruck obviously gets a lot of attention from the public. And although the word “slander” appears only once in the Bible, real life is different. The innovative pickup truck has had tubs, well tanks of negativity poured on it.
However, at the time of this article, Tesla has managed to instantly sell about a dozen of its wonder pickups. Individual followers of Musk's religion paid crazy money for the privilege owning one: the Techno Mechanicus advertisement paid off.
As for the technical specs of the Cybertruck, they remain unchanged. The range is approximately 547 km for all-wheel drive trucks and 515 km for the top-end Cyberbeast trim.
The latter accelerates to 100 km/h in less than three seconds.
Of course, this could just be a promotional shtick.
In any case, it will be several more months before the Cyber e-cars are delivered to their buyers en-masse.
Fisker (all models)

Fisker recently announced plans to release not one, but three models, including a small crossover called the Pear, with a promised below $30,000 price tag, a stylish rear hatchback, and a huge pickup truck called the Alaska. We don’t know much about the Pear. It is reported to be around 4,5 m long which is about the length of Audi Q3. The car’s expected delivery date is 2025 so we will see a prototype next year.
This year will definitely see the Fisker Ocean, a mid-size crossover with a range of over 550 km. Preparation for its production is currently in full swing.
Faraday Future FF91

This insane crossover is described by its creators as a “versatile hypercar” capable of incredible acceleration. Without losing its passengers along the way.
Faraday Future markets its electric vehicle as a comfortable luxury sedan. Among the significant achievements of the FF91 designers is the enormous (124 cm!) legroom for passengers in the rear seats. For comparison, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 has 109 cm, and the Chevy Suburban has 106 cm.
The company claims that the total power of the three-motor engine is 1050 hp allowing the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in mere 2.3 seconds.
The range from the 142 kWh battery is estimated at 600 kilometers. This way, you'll have plenty of time to appreciate the car's interior, which come with a ton of digital perks scattered across 11 (!) different screens, including a giant one installed in front of the driver.
